Horse chestnut is a type of tree that grows throughout the Northern Hemisphere. It contains a compound called aescin. It protects blood vessels, promotes blood circulation, and is anti-inflammatory. Seeds from horse chestnut trees were traditionally used to reduce joint pain, soft tissue swelling, and fever as well as combat gut and bladder issues.
